45% of FESICH's members are women, passionate about producing organic coffee, quality, and good practices. Some of FESICH’s goals are to empower its members and provide technical support and training around quality and proper management of their coffee plantations, processing techniques, storage, and transportation of the product.
FESICH, or the Federation of Indigenous and Ecological Cooperative Societies of Chiapas, is a cooperative formed on April 11, 2017. It currently has 83 members who grow coffee in around 307.53 hectares located within the buffer zone of the Reserve of “El Triunfo” Biosphere.
